millennium tower condo - boston, ma
A corner condominium on the 38th floor of the new Millennium Tower was purchased by the client as a sterile, standard build-out unit - essentially a white box. The design requirements were to add layers of textures, materials, and colors to compliment new cabinetry, storage spaces, and a custom built fireplace. The client's fondness of mahogany wood led to it's use as details in various parts of the condo, and the textured ribbed bamboo is utilized as a layer in the hallway to draw the eye towards the cityscape, and as a canopy to define the dining area. The consistent use of the bamboo and the mahogany allows for the overall design of the condo to be cohesive.
