Over a span of 15 years that ONY Architecture has been designing projects, we’ve had to design and build some type of cabinetry for the various spaces we’ve created. In designing and implementing cabinetry, we’ve worked with talented master carpenters and woodworkers, high end brands like Bulthaup and Poggenpohl, and have also coordinated orders through economical options like IKEA. Two ends of the spectrum that either provide a high quality product very expensively, or a mass produced, lower quality product which may be easier on the wallet.
To us, both extremes are not ideal. The idea is to have cabinetry that lasts a long time, which can handle the daily wear and tear of use without compromising good design or having to cost an arm and a leg. Working with so many different clients over the years, we’ve found that most don’t want to settle for a cheap brand and if they could afford it, would much rather be able to purchase a high quality cabinet.
Due to this ideal, a few years ago we set out to work side by side with a quality cabinet shop to produce custom ONY designed and branded cabinets at dealer prices. We’ve been able to put together an almost endless list of wood species, colors, styles, and sized cabinets for our clients - to create custom kitchens, mudrooms, bedroom closets, and living rooms which uniquely fit their space, their style, and their needs.
This December (2019), we’ve finally, and officially launched this brand for the average consumer. It is called ONY Cabinetwork, and we hope we’re able to satisfy the need for bespoke cabinetry which can be affordable, and ideal for most projects.
